Strange power loss/bog...
I've been looking around through the forum for this to be explained but most of the things I found were for heavy power loss and pretty much through the whole power band. I have an 2006 Shinka 8 with about 17k miles K&N air filter, Greddy sp2, and a dieing Supercat(low catalyst efficiency CEL). Still on stock plugs, wires, coils.
When I go for my redline I'm usually doing it in second to third gear. So I'm at wot hit 9k and when i go into third and go back to wot it feels like the engine doesnt catch up for a second or two. I have an AFE short shifter so I feel I shift on the quick side. Im not one to feel the secondary ports open or anything like that but this I can definitely feel. Right when I go back to wot it doesnt seem to respond and the engine feels like its struggling. But then it kicks back in and all is fine.
Now my question is would the engine have to catch up after a quick shift(sounds really dumb I know ) or is it the typical things like coils, plugs, wires, clogged cat, etc? If anyone has felt something like this please respond and tell me what you did to resolve the problem. Thanks!
