Stutter in the rear end

Stutter in the rear end
Alright, so this is a weird issue I've been having intermittently in the past couple months.
Sometimes when I accelerate forward under light throttle it feels as though the rear end isn't catching. It's not a slipping feeling like no traction, but more staccato. I can only think of two things:
1. Is that the brakes aren't disengaging and it takes some forward momentum to break them free. Doubt this because brake travel is fine and I have no issues under heavy braking.
2. That something is up in my rear-end and the gears aren't catching. I think this is probably it. Given the sporadic nature of it, it makes me think that I may have a tooth or two missing from a section of one of the gears.
Anyone have any ideas?

Have you seen the DIY thread on doing this? - very informative. You can also do you change out your manual transmission fluid at the same tech session.
I recommend and use Red Line Oil products available down the street from you at Rosenthal Mazda Arlington. Read the DIY - you'll want to get new crush washers too.

Where are you planning to change the diff fluid? Yourself? Reason I ask is you can join www.mscw.com and do it on a lift at a tech session.

When are your tech sessions? Checked out the site and the date says TBD.

You must be a paid MSCW member to participate - $27 to join for 1 year and $5/per tech session includes use of lift + dinner ...... cannot beat this deal. Membership gets you parts and service discounts and various dealers and other shops. See http://www.mscw.com/benefits.html to apply/pay/join.
