Synthetic Oil
Owners Manual discourages the use of synthetic oil.
However Royal Purple emails me the following:
The rotary engine responds well to Royal Purple.
See our FAQ section and attached are some things that I am involved in
personally as well as a before /after dyno run on an 04 RX8 with RP 5W20.
Cheers,
David
PS - I have used synthetic oils in rotaries since 1985 with excellent
results.

My my my, WELCOME!
Is it wise to use synthetic oil? Well...to answer that question effectively one must ask himself, what shouldn't I use? I'm sorry. It appears I've answered your question with a question. Let us consider is there anyway any of us can truly be a good boy?
No one is allowed to give an opinion on this matter or else they'll get banned, since this topic has been discussed to death. I can't find the link to prove it. But take my word for it, you do not wanna get into this.
