Temperature Control and/or Fan Control Dial Break OR Come Off
Hello everyone,
FYI - There's a new service bulletin:
Temperature Control and/or Fan Control Dial Break OR Come Off - Issued 11/3/2004:
http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cs/07-003.html
Mine are not broken - has this happened to anyone out there?
Regards,

Not yet, but I copied and stored the info. (like I did for the rear taillight craze problem which was covered under warranty) Also, i need to find out about the shock sensor advisory that was put out. Will the new one be retrofitted to our cars?? I will speak to the dealer at my oil change. Thanks for the info.

Mine broke during the PDI of the car ( 7/14/2003 ). They sent the entire assembly back to Mazda, and had a new one for the car on 7/15/2003. I don't know if this is the stronger dials or not though.

LOL... this happened to my temp **** a few times already. I would crank the heat and turn it all the way to the right and the thing would pop off in my hand. I'd just stick it back on without a problem. Good to know there is a fix for this :p

Happened to me a few days after owning the car, thought I had the temp in the middle and tried to make it cooler... well it was already on full cold.
I just used some loctite on it and it's been working just fine every since.

Just an fyi. My new **** had some reinforcments around the plastic part that slides on the metal shaft. If you look at the new one, compared to the old one, you will see what I mean. Anyways, just thought I would mention that.
Still luvin it after 19,000 miles.
