Are there better apex seals than oem?

Well, you're looking at around $400-2000 for the apex seals themselves plus whatever labor would cost on removing, tearing apart, rebuild, and reinstall the motor. Probably close to $2500.

Not to be rude, but since it seems you have little knowledge on the workings of a rotary I suggest you do some research on the engine. There are some really great reads out there, you just have to look.

The guy asked a simple question that was answered simply by risky business and zoom44. Then you add in your Mr. 2-finger typist unnecessary curmudgeon banter. And then all these other "jump on the bandwagon automatically" people automatically jump on the bandwagon. The problem is it's a really stupid bandwagon they jumped on.
Can you leave the guy alone? Can you leave all of us alone? Can you leave? Can you do that for us?

Now, if you had asked about "knock tolerant" or something like that, the answer might be more complicated.
Wow. Them's some big seals.

I looked into this when I was getting my engine rebuilt.
You can find harder seals, but harder seals cause wear on the housings.
Ceramic seals seem like the best option, low wear, last forever. But they can be easier to damage than the oem ones if your tuning isn't right. They're also about $2000 a set.
In the end I went with oems. Everything else was a compromise in some way or another.
