Is there a DIY taillight removal?

i'm gona vht my taillights and i wanted to remove my tailights. i went and checked them out in my car and i have an idea of what to do but i wanted to see if there was a thread just in case, but couldn't find one.

is it really that simple to remove?

if anyone knows where i can find a diy or just write out steps it would help.

1. open trunk
2. remove rear panel just pull up on it and pull out
3. remove "pop screws" on lining
4. move lining out of the way
5. there is 2 bolts on rear tail lights locate and remove
5 1/2. put bolts in safe place
6. twist and remove light bulbs
7.unplug necessary wiring
8.remember which one goes where
9.remove tail lights
10. repeat steps to put back on

hope this helps

be careful not to over torque the bolts when you reinstall the lights, they will break easily

no, the keyhole is no big deal, just make sure you're aware of it when you put it back together.

VHT won't work on the headlights just a heads up. Something about the plastic or defects of the headlights in rx-8s makes it turn out terrible. works good on tailights.
