Is there a fuse to disable the DRL on 2004 HID rx8?
HI guys,
I am looking for how to disable the day time running light (High beam) off for canada vehicle. I can't seem to search in the forum for it.
Does it have to be some wiring need to be done or can be taken out a fuse to turn DRL off?
any ideas everyone?
Thanks so much!

I thought cars in canada needed to have DRL enabled to be sold, wouldnt that mean you need it on to be legal? If not thats stupid that they even have them in the first place.

Yeah Canada (or at least Ontario) requires daytime-runnng lights by lay. But if you just turn on your low-beams, nobody would be able to tell you've disabled the DRLs anyway. That law only exists to protect idiots from themselves ... But I digress. There should just be a fuse that runs the DRLs. Pull the fuse, and presto.
Now, in fitting with this, the DIY thread, I have an alternate interest: a separate switch to control the daytime headlamps, independant from lowbeam/fog/whatever. Basically I want full control of my lamps!
For that matter, Canada vehicles have the fog lamps wired to only light up if the man headlights are on; a rewire to allow fogs only would also be of interest.
