so ever since i did my engine swap i put a new throw-out bearing in while i had the tranny dismantled and i get this little ringing noise from the tranny now. Its an odd noise kind of like a bell ringing but if i put the clutch in or even just rest my foot on the clutch the noice goes away. I did some research and i found that it may not be the throw-out bearing but instead a bad release arm bushing?

i have never even heard of such a thing so let me know if you guys have any opinions... thanks

 

Same exact problem but my warranty guy said just to replace the whole tranny...I always thought it was the throw out bearing making the noise

 

Throw-out bearing itself usually won't make noise (if its going bad) until its in use (the pedal is pushed in).
Did you grease the release fork and the spline when you installed the bearing?

 

yea i did... i cant seem to figure it out.. could it be the release arm bushing?

it was just a stock clutch that came with my new motor... how can i check to see if the disc is rattling?
