Craftsman, Duralast, some Snap On
Cuz what I found is that, if u go cheap u just gonna make ur job harder than it should. Even some Snap On tools are made in China these days it's still better than some Made in USA tools from some companies like Craftsman. It's fooking expensive I know, but u get what u paid for.

From time to time, tools fail, it doesn't matter where it came from.
China did make crap, but that's what happens when u WAY underpay them.
why Nike keep moving their factory ? back then it was china, now it's Vietnam, Indonesia, etc while INCREASING the price of their omg Jordan Retro 1337 ? Cut cost even further = Profit
Yes I know some people who has Snap On/Craftsman tools from 20+ yrs ago that's made in USA and it's good. but what I found is that most of the "problematic made in China tools" happens when they firsts shift their manufacturing/outsource them to China, and things always goes wrong when you do that, at least for the first 1-2 yrs.
After so many years, I gotta say quality tools made in China is just as good, if not better, than the same tools made in USA or anywhere else.
note, I wasn't talking about HF's made in China tools, those are total crap, but considered the price you paid for those, why should anybody complaint?
I moved outa NYC a year something, and I had some chance to visit some of those tools manufacturing plant in China,
the same plant actually makes the dirt cheap tools that u found in 99 cents store,, and Ultra good tools that's as expensive as snap on, it just uses different process/different material for different price point.
iOEM A pays 10 bux to make a Ratchet, you get a 10 bux quality ratchet. cheaper material, less polished, less QA.
OEM B pays 100, U get 100 bux quality Ratchet, more QA, more refined, better material.
at the end of the day, u get what u paid for. Made in X doesn't mean **** to me.
another example is Optima Battery, when JC bought it and moved everything to Mexico, for the first couple of yrs it was so garbage with high failure rate.
but after so many years, things got a lot better and it's just as good as its used to be. takes time, thats all.

making one out of wood shouldn't take more than 20 minutes, that is if you don't want to give nycgps 200$ . He's a great guy though, i'd send him my daughter if i had one as a deposit.

My old mechanic rollaway top box is a Cornwell.
Do you have good service and accessibility?
If they aren't much cheaper than SnapOn, I'd go with SnapOn, I think they would be more available, but I'm not sure.
