topping off your own oil

While getting gas, go inside the convenience store and take home 3 or 4 paper 'add-oil' cones (should be free). Although a cone can easily be blown off the top of the '8's' oil filler tube, it certainly can lessen the possibility of spilling oil while adding . . especially when initially pouring from a new quart.
When you have added the chosen amount of oil, cap the remaining quart, replace the yellow oil filler cap, throw away the used paper cone. Your mother will give you a big kiss for a job well done.
