Is it true?
I change the tranny oil, I thought it is about some where at 2 quarts but my car swallows almost 3 quarts ( about 2.8 quarts to be exact) Am I over fill or it is the right amount, I just keep pumping in until the fill-hole start to leak out, and after a few days, shift is not feeling right, it is harder on 1st and 2nd a little bit, any thought or comment is appreciated, thanks
PS: I changed and put 2 quarts in few months back and it was shift harder at 2nd gear compare with the original when I bought the car as used, last week I pump almost 1 quarts in also to make total of 2.8 quart, I use redline mt90 as recommend here in this forum.

You overfilled it, it should only hold about 1.6 quarts if I am remembering correctly - likely the car was not level when you jacked it up. I suspect you leaned the car sideways, which would allow the trans to take on much more oil.
You will want to jack the car up again - make sure it is level and on 4 stands - and remove the top plug and let the excess oil train out. If you do not, this excess oil WILL cause you trans to run hot! which is not good over the long haul.

thanks, i did jack the car up only one side (driver side). if I level the car, open the fill- bolt, assume if there is no oil coming out, is it still ok? or i have to drain out about a quart? thanks again

That said, if car was lifted on the drivers side only, I guarantee you have too much fluid in there.
Hope this helps
