if you have to ask, you haven't done enough research and shouldn't be looking at FI yet.

Honestly, if you really have the funds to support such.............................................. .

Just read, just read, just search, just search, just read, just read etc.
It's more than just what is better for the rx8 considering this is a rx8.

Its amazing how worthless this site is becoming for discussion now. Since all of you have been here for years and already had these discussions, new people can't come and try and get discussion going on it any longer.

Sometimes people want a comprehensive opinion from people who've been in the business for a few years, but this site is honestly worthless when it comes to that desire. Even the people with the knowledge or opinion won't even help out any longer. They just say 'search'.

-1 for Lame RX8 club members

Sorry to new members of this community..as you can see, it's a pretty elite club of people who either don't know so they flame or think their too good to share an opinion or experience.

All this site is becoming is a bunch of post ****** trying to get their counts up. We might as well lock all boards that have to do with the RX8 except local boards and For Sale boards.

and another thing...I keep an eye out for Vendors that feed the negativity derived by the post ******....those are the last people I goto for my business.

While I do think people should search for things....a search here could have been Turbo vs Supercharger and probably received results there, people could be a little more helpful. Anyone know if there's an RX8 site for enthusiasts rather then a bunch of flamers and lamers?

Let me help. Read the tread: Power Adders (FI) For Dummies (Turbo, Supercharger, Nitrous) https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-major-horsepower-upgrades-93/power-adders-fi-dummies-turbo-supercharger-nitrous-122645/, its a sticky in the major horsepower upgrades section. It has a lot of basic and advanced information.

If when you are done reading, you have more questions, look around a little. Use the advanced search function and only search the Aftermarket Performance Modifications section to eliminate worthless matches.

If you dont find your answers, come back with some questions and people will respect you for searching and trying to educate yourself.

The reason you got flamed, is because your question opens a big discussion that people have talked about many, many, many, times with no concrete answer. Also, a discreption of what you use your car for, what your budget is and what you want to use your car for will help with answers.

I'm relatively new to all this but have gathered a lot of knowledge from searching threads and reading general automotive articles on things like supercharging and turbocharging. All of the info is out there.

Wow, 2 posts and all I see is a bunch of bitching about people not helping, yet you on your high horse haven't helped either. Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

nobody is trying not to help its just dumb to make a new post for the SAME thing OVER and OVER!!! that takes away from the people who DO use the search button as they will end up with a 100 different threads in oppose to a few!!! i havent been part of this community for very long at least not actively and i am active now and have gained alot of knowledge from here so when you go around talking about members not being helpful you might wanna get some facts straight ...

Angry

... This "Rx8club" does not have many vendors that talk about their own product and explain what it will do(BHR/ I still love fluid motorsports/race roots) as oppose to what it can do for the rx8. There are a lot of vendors that just try to make a sell, simply look at how many list of products and prices are posted rather than good old info and do they actually stand behind their product, it's so easy to tell who is and who isn't. Again, if you are just going to ask such a broad question about which is better for the rx8, turbo or supercharger, then what the hell are you asking for? Before you actually signed the contract at the dealer, how much did you know about the rx8 rather seeing it on youtube and cars.com. All jokes aside, people come to learn, fine. you read, correct me if I'm wrong simply because you will be better off reading as much as you can while asking questions later.

Oh yea, just in case you decide to turbo/supercharge your 8, FYI, I think it's very important as to what you will be doing with your car, will it be simple, no obviously, will it be costly and possibly create a hole in your piggy bank that you can't climb out of, yes, and lastly are you honestly up to the task at hand?

Awww, someone's angry that we don't answer a question that has been discussed a million times. Hell, there is a sticky at the top of the Major Horsepower discussing THIS VERY THING.

Sorry, if you're not old enough to walk without mommy and daddies hand, you have no place here.

It's not that it's stupid or pointless to repost something like this...

I skipped all of this and sent a private message...but I know what it's like to want to know something and you click on links and all you get is people saying to research...you'd be surprised how many are out there...you could search greddy turbo and find over 100 post and maybe 10 of them have real info in them...and only say 2 of those are straight info with no bullshit post and crap in them.

I for one have posted stuff wanting options and got ****.

Besides what was posted last year and now has updates in other threads doesn't help either..you repost the same question and hopefully you get all the info that's in other threads and in between

Are you talking about the rotary admin guy who talks about how this forum has become pointless and how he keeps an eye out for those vendors that add on to the negativity or are you refering to me.

I think you are exactly right in that sense. That my friend can be very annoying. As for the vendor thing, I just got confused as to what vendors he was talking about.
