Unorthdox pulley set -- keep or not?

Just looking for some opinions here... doing a motor swap and noticed that the blown motor has unorthdox pulleys. Never knew it, never noticed a difference (this is my 3rd 8). Never considered doing this mod and dont have strong feelings about it.

Most threads about this seem to indicate the gains are little to none and not worth the money, but given that I already have them for free, i am wondering if I should keep them and use them. Some people, maybe alarmists, i couldnt say either way, imply there is some risk in using them.

I have other motors I could get stock pulleys off of, so really at this point I can go either way.

Thoughts?

Same. Mostly just an accessory for making your engine bay look nice.
