unorthodox pulley installation delay
dont worry, i know the routine of searching and i read the DIY by staticlag. but i got off all the pulleys except for the crank. i have the 4 screws out, and it is not coming off, at all. i dont want to bend or pry at it, for risk of bending the E shaft. so do any of you have any tips for me?

And........don't forget what I said about the plate behind that pully! I know you may have to knock the pully to get it loose, but try not to move that eccentric(?) plate. If it does come off.....okay, not that big of a deal, but make deadly sure you put it back on the same way. It's keyed, but give it a real good look.

Its okay if it comes off, just be sure you put it back the way you found it, might want to put a piece of tape on one side of the toothed plate with an up arrow on it.
Just be sure to do the brake pedal reset and the "hold down tripometer" button while turning the car to the "on" position but not starting it reset.

1) With the key in the off position, press and hold the odometer reset button and turn the key to on;
Continue to hold the odo button until the odometer reads "TEST" and then release.
2) Turn the key to off and repeat step one.
This will reset the entire PCM except the KAM which contains the sensor profiles amongst other things. You can reset it with the familiar procedure:
1) Turn the key to on
2) Depress the brake pedal rapidly 20 times in a row until the oil pressure gauge sweeps to halfway and back again.
Go ahead and do them both, it can't hurt!

Go back and hit it at different angles and such. It will come loose eventually. Either that or you're gonna have to wait till someone else responds. I had to hit it a lot harder than I wanted to! Kinda work the block around the pully and hit from different directions both in and out.

nevermind. i got it. just had to do the odometer button reset again.
well so far there are no gains, cause as it says in the instructions, it takes 5-7 days for the ECU to recalibrate and see the freed up HP. so i will let you know then.
thanks for all of your help
