I bought the connection from Rosenthal, just need a multi meter. Tim has one, we can check the vacuum next time you're over.

why in the world do you need to buy a multimeter and the connection from rosenthal when you can buy a $10 vacuum guage or mechanical intake manifold pressure and 3 feet of hose and be done with it???

also last i checked, there was no table to equate the voltage from mazda's tool to an actual pressure

true a mechanical vacuum gauge attached to the vfad nipple or intake manifold would work too. with a mutimeter you can check the vacuum lines and for leaks i believe. more to an extent. either would work fine.

So just hang on

the mazda's vacuum test tool only shows certain "voltage", So like rotor said, there is no way to tell if it "fail" or "pass"

Trying to find out the correct value right now ...

without the factory correlation data on the output signal relative to altitude I don't see how the factory tool is of any use, nobody has yet to produce said data as far as I know

thats why Im kinda confuse right now.

Hmm. My engine stalled the total of "3" times for the past 5 days. I just drive, redlight/traffic, clutch in, rpm going down then "poof/stalled"

No good. But like I said only 3 times so it might not happen when I go visit a dealership ... *shurgs*, same thing for the rpm "dips" around 500 rpm, it does not happen every time.

oh, no premix btw, pretty much like what has happened to swoope's old motor a while ago (premix = no stall, no premix = no good)

just put a vacuum dial gauge on it, less than 15mm/hg in NYC likely = fail
