Its just called the DW200. Most modern consumer in tank fuel pumps fit in the same basic form factor. I paid ~$95 shipped from an eBay vendor.
The only issue I had when installing mine was that the OEM filter sock doesn't fit properly and the included filter sock was ever so slightly too tall. The filter fits, it just takes a little force to get it into the bowl.
The pumps are the exact same size.

Will do, thanks. Totally should have thought of that. Gonna give mazmart a call.
You mentioned that you thought it was the CAT.
Could be wrong here but my understanding was that the CAT would be a gradual failure/loss of power in the high rpm range. My car went from running awesome to barely driving in an instant.
If you still think it's the CAT then I'll try and diagnosis that first to rule it out. Thanks for your time by the way

Typically yes it just fails over time. It's hard to say over the internet but the cat can just come apart suddenly and create a blockage. You could also just remove it and shake and if you hear anything rattling around inside of it then it is shot.

Mainly after switching to the Dw200 pump I no longer had fuel starvation in high-g left turns. Others here have found the same result. The DW pump is not physically larger but it's flow seems less effected by high-g turns compared to the stock oem pump. I am pleased with the switch.

A high flow pump will just recirculate through the bypass excessively and cause the fuel to heat up because it provides way more flow than a NA Renesis can ever use, especially in normal street driving. Then there are the modifications required to make it fit & function properly too. You can argue it all you want, but a larger pump is not a wise move unless you converted the engine to FI. The aftermarket pumps are just as likely to fail eventually.

The DW200 works for me, so I am happy for the change and I will stick with it. Over 42 rotary driving years I have tried just about every fuel system upgrade made available for rotary engines, so i did my research before replacing my failing Series 1 oem pump. A host of rotary wrenches and knowledgeable folks felt the DW200 was a good choice for my situation. The slight mod to make it work in my pump assembly took all of 90 seconds to do.(read the fuel pump threads here on the forum) My results, believe it or not, were that I and others no longer have the fuel starvation in high-g left turns. TeamRX8 you can pooh-pooh this all you want, but the reality is that this pump works for me, so I am keeping it.

DW200 was recommended to me by at least two RX8 club moderators here and loads of rotary wrenches across the country that I had asked, all with even more rotary time than TeamRX8, just as I have, hmmm ! The DW200 works great, and is a better match for the N/A RX8 than the DW100. Go with a DW300 if you are FI .

I wont name the RX8 mods who I communicated with, so you don't bug them. But they are ones I know you respect for their extensive technical knowledge. And the rotary wrenches I spoke with have decades of real technical rotary experience, including RX8s , just as I do. So my research was extensive. It is fine if you disagree, that is perfectly ok. My choice works for them and works for me. Nothing personal. Cheers !

If the newer DW100 at 165 LPH is a better fit, then so be it. It was not on the market (their debut says Feb. 2, 2015) when I did my research and made my change from my failing Series 1 pump ( last fall 2014). I won't be taking out my DW200 to switch but someone new might want the DW100. Time moves on and another mod is modified.

Went back and edited out my prior posts regarding excessive recirculation. Reason is I had never seen any data anywhere on how much the actual pump flow changes from what the pump is rated as free-flowing vs being installed in the canister assembly. Needless to say the fuel pump ratings being advertised are nowhere near what you can expect to flow out of the canister housing.

I can tell for sure that the DW300 will outflow the siphon and cause issues - which is why mine is modified. Anything smaller than the 300 seems to be ok . I had the Walbro 255 for quite a while and never saw the same issue that the 300 created.

Are you saying that you thing they aren't flowing at the total flow due to the pressure? DW does produce a flow chart based on pressure to show what it should be. Although I think the small fuel line restricts flow and it follows the path of least resistance out the FPR.
