Warranty Type?
Ive searched the internet and this forum and cant find the answer I'm looking for.
I have a TSB that I want to take in and have the dealer fix and it is listed as Type A Warranty work.
What is Warranty Type A
Also is there a B and C and so on, does anyone have a good description? Possibly a nice chart?

No idea, but it seems that would be something of interest to the dealer and Mazda, not an owner. Mazda doesn't even think owners should have access to the TSBs in the first place.
That said, if you're under warranty and have the TSB you're ahead of the game. Make sure that what you tell them when you bring it in aligns with the customer concern described in the TSB. Give symptoms, not a diagnosis.

My full warranty just expired a couple months ago. I'm not sure if they will still fix this TSB. Its the one for the broken parking brake lever cover.

The darn thing snapped off in the last cold spell and now not only does it look ugly but the paring brake light is stuck on.
Any idea if they will still fix this for me? Full warranty just expired, 43,000 miles.

Bumper-to-bumper through '06 was 4 years, either 48 or 50 k miles (I forget which). You must be just over the 4 years.
TSBs aren't recalls - they're more or less extensions of the shop manual. But you can try sweet-talking them into fixing it. Maybe play up the part that the time just expired, but you're still within the miles. Maybe tell them it broke a couple of months ago, you didn't bring it in then because you figured you were just clumsy, then you stumbled on the TSB and learned it was a common problem.

For your handbrake TSB, it would be most likely covered under the BASIC warranty.
Generally, a TSB will be waranteed under the same coverage as the part that failed...
For example: The taillight gaskets are only covered under Basic warranty; while the AT Torque Converter is covered under Powertrain Warranty.
Recently, Mazda has updated the wording in the TSB's to clearly state what warranty is applicable. Finishline Performance (Rosenthal) only keeps the latest version of each TSB on their site: http://www.finishlineperformance.com....php?pageid=11 However, it seems that your particular TSB has not been clarified...
Note that TSB's are not special warranties, or recalls. They are only 'notes' to Service Departments for special procedures, or updated repair techniques for some of the more common complaints.
Like with any problem, speak with your dealer about perhaps getting special consideration to cover this repair... If you are not satisfied with their response, call MNAO Customer Service and speak to them. Your argument might be along the line of your handbrake not releasing properly, ...rear brakes overheating, ...increased stopping distances - with inherent danger.
EDIT: ^What Ken said above (trust me for getting a coffee half way through writing my reply).

Well I called today and begged and pleaded and they wouldn't budge. So it looks like I will just order the part myself and wait for some warm weather and dig into it.
It doesn't sound like anything a new part a couple hours and case of beer cant fix.
Thanks for the help guys.
