Ive been meaning to post this for a while but i forgot . i recently drove to virginia from maine and before i left i always had this knocking/spuutering noise coming from the front which i always assumed was coming from something rubbing on the radiator fans but i never go t a chance to check it out. i realized it was definately the radiator fan because when i drove hard it the noise would stay even after the car was off cuz the radiator fans stay on. buuut about a day after i returned home it completely went away??? now all i hear is the great sound of the fans calling me back!!

 

Can you describe the noise a bit better? Could it be coolant gurgling? In which case, how is your coolant level?

 

its hard to describe but basically it sounded like the fan was hitting something or scraping against something at very short intervals. idk but im pretty sure it was the fan or fan motor because the sound was still there when the car was off and fans were running. and it wasnt constant noise when the car was on it was pretty sporadic. the coolant level was fine, and it was still there even though the coolant line ripped, fixed it on the return inspection.
