weird grinding noise from shifter.

I had an annoying grinding noise coming from trans/shifter. Tonight I was driving around a bit and discovered that when in 1st 3rd 5th if I very very lightly push ^ on the shifter the noise goes away and when in 2nd 4th 6th if I lightly pull I get the same results. Any ideas?

I have the AFE shifter but I don't recall the noise till after I swapped the clutch and installed the RB gauges at the same time. I was thinking maybe the lines from the gauges were putting pressure on the shifter . I'm pretty sure I did a good job getting the lines out of the way though.

Tomorrow I'll get a sound clip/video

Not 100% on PPF but I'm pretty sure it's right.

fluid level should be good. Any way to actually check it? You can't see any fluid by looking down into the shifter hole so that means I didn't over fill.

off white color i think or was it yellow?????

yeah def the forks rubbing on the synchros.....i think the only way to check it is to look through the check plug(?) on the trans to make sure it's filled all the way up....what type of trans fluid are u using?
