Do you have the intake duct that sits behind the bumper?

the air box is not the intake duct. the duct is a long flexable tube in behind the bumper. if ur putting on a cai leave the whole vfad out its just a waste of space

Until you get a new intake, might want to plug the vacuum inlet port for the VFAD so you don't introduce a vacuum leak when the solenoid is energized.

The duct has two sections... one is a flexable tube and the other is a straight plastic inlet.
Inside the plastic inlet there would be a flap that opens/closes to allow more airflow.
The actuator attaches to that flap.

Honestly... keep the VFAD out and cap the nipple as I mentioned above until you get your new intake.

looks like another 12v power (cig lighter) housing.... not sure why someone would go through all that trouble though... there's an aux power plug in the center console and the fusebox is a whole 2.5' away .

maybe they needed three lighter plugs for various accessories, who knows?

Congrat's on bumping and posting in a proper thread, kind of rare around here that I get to give kudos than bash someone for the opposite.
