What does the 3 intake tubes do?
Hey guys, I dont know whether its been discussed before, but does anyone know what those 3 little tubes do? I mean the ones that goes through the rubber intake hose............
my best bet would be that it stabilizes idle?
what harm would removing them cause to your car?

Short answer:
Those tubes are to help allow airflow through secondary passages depending on the RPM. The SSD and VDI are both vacuum controlled valves through these tubes.
I'm sure someone will chime in to explain more in detail. Its getting late for me.

Depends on which one you *broke*
if its the VFAD one, you can just cap it off, like me.
but if its the other one, replace them.
The system needs them.
and how the hell you broke them ?

there's an interview of sly online where he explains that it's used to scrape.. but that can't be correct since they were agast to how barbaric toilet paper was. Additionally, something used to scrape, wouldn't then be placed like that next to the toilet.
