What size are the lugnuts?
I want to go to Pep Boy and replace the locking lugnuts with standard ones. Does anyone know what size to get? Also 13/16 socket seems to fit has anyone used that size to remove a wheel?

Some people don't want to spend a single dollar at the dealer but then they wander when the next RX-7 is coming out.
That wasn't necessarilly aimed at you flatso.
ps either 13/16 in or 21mm will work.

I am dumping them because in the long run they are more trouble then they are worth. The key is too easy to strip if not used correctly or if the wheels are put on too tightly by your local mechanic with the airgun.

I'd be worried about making it too tempting to have my wheels stolen.
Yeah, I know, if they really want them blah, blah ....... but why make it easier?
Have you considered taking the locks off yourself when taking it in for service that requires them to come off, then put them back on yourself after service?
If you're not expecting the service to require wheels off, just leave the lock on and don't give them the key.
Just my 0.02cents worth .

If you ask your dealer nicely, they may be willing to swap your four standard lugnuts for your locknuts. Lord knows they have a bunch of them sitting around because they remove four standard nuts from every car that gets locknuts installed as part of the PDI process.

hmm... dealer placed the 4 original lugnuts in my center console. Yeah, just ask them I'm sure they have plenty. If they balk then point out that they should have given you the originals when you received the vehicle - they were part of the vehicle that you paid for.
