TN Will not start I did search

I have an 04 base 6sp 90K miles 100% stock. Monday I went out to go to work and the car would not start. I got on here did a few searches and thought it was a good time to change the plugs anyway since I just bought the car and have no idea when they were changed last. So anyway i got new plugs. Took out all the old plugs and unhooked the secondary air pump and fuel injector fuse. Held the gas all the way down turned it over for 10 seconds 4 times. Nothing had came out of the spark plug holes. So I put in the new plugs and reinstalled the fuse. Tried to start and got nothing. This went on for an hour or so. I got it to start once and it chugged a little and died again. then for another hour or so I tried but it did nothing again. That is where I stand.

Any help would be great. I live in Surgoinsville TN. If anyone lives close and wants to come over to help I would appreciate it. Don't have alot of cash but I will pay.

Pull a leading plug out and see if it's wet or dry. If wet, the engine is flooded and needs to be de-flooded according to the owners manual or one of the techniques used by forum members. Do a search on flooded and/or go to the de-flooding thread in the DIY section of the forum. Here is one thread, but there are other approaches to de-flooding the engine:

If the plug is dry, you probably have a fuel delivery problem. I hesitate to say this, but are you low on fuel? If not, get a free copy of the factory service manual and work through the troubleshooting routine for no fuel.

The manual is here: http://69.108.208.137/ryang/modify/r...8_manuals.html

I actually filled up Friday. When pulled the old plugs turned it over and nothing came out(I was under the impression there would be some fuel come out of the holes if flooded). Those plugs were wet so I assumed it was flooded the first time. I guess I could have flooded it again with the new plugs. I think I am going to buy some sea foam tonight and put the old plugs back in the car(take the new ones out and clean them good). Suck about a third of the bottle of sea foam into each cylinder and let it soak over night. Then start from scratch tomorrow night when i get home.

take out the plugs and clean them really good.

put them back in.

get some jumper cables and hook your car up to another, because you're about to run your battery down.

open the fuse box, and pull the "ENG INJ" fuse. it's a 15a.

crank the car for about 10 seconds with it out. put it back in, make sure its in nice and snug. it should start after this.

Worn out ignition coils could cause this. Do you know when they were replaced last? If your car is using a bad coil(s) the engine should want to start but simply can't.

I have no idea when they were replaced. I guess I may go ahead and get them too if needed. Is their any way to test them so I don't waste my money?

Check the battery. Most have the purchase date.
Clean the MAF, because its easy and simple to do. Plus you don't know the condition or maintaence history.

If possible push start.

Ordered some new coils. I tested the first one and it was bad so I hope this is the only problem. I will update after I install then. Thanks for all the help.
