Winter storage

Winter storage
I will be keeping my 8 away from all the minnesota salted roads and extreme temperatures. Already got it on boards and took the battery out. But I was wondering what I should do during the winter. With most cars, i hear its a good idea to start them and let them run for a while at least once a month to make sure everything stays lubricated inside the engine. I really don't want to install the battery every month. So if i leave it sit all winter, what about next spring when the majority of the oil has dripped off of the parts? The apex seals are touchy already...I have a feeling that when I start it up for the first time, there could be a lot of wear, if not some damage to the engine. Any thoughts on what I could do different?

When i used to park mine for the winter i just filled it up and started the car about once a month and it was fine only one time the car was slow starting but fired right up didn t have to jump or anything.....if ur gonna let it sit and afraid of no lube just turn the motor over by hand before you fire it up to get the oil flowing......

Ok i read zoom44's thread and it didn't say anything about how to properly store the car for the winter. I think i will take the advice given and just start it up once a month. Turning the engine by hand seems like a good precaution, however, i don't know how to do this. Would someone mind explaining it to me?

Fresh Oil
I am about 500 kms away from my next oil change being due, but the snow has fallen and with my summer tires the car is stuck in the garage.
What can I do since I didnt have enough time for a fresh oil change.
Any advice would be appreciated!
