worm power low
My English is very bad
I am a 74,000 km RX8 2004
The car has this problem
Motorway reaches the 235 km now, but if I do roads in or mountain 10-20 km climb after the car lost power, more and more to stop.
The noise engine is light detonation before the stop
After five minuts the car start and go.
I have a OBDII scan apex but i don't parameter controller
I have already checked catalyst, and replaced all the ignition with BHR.
No light on
This flaw existed 36.000 Km to 74.000Km never change.
I bought the car at 36.000km and I have always noticed this flaw
thanks
Corrado

Sounds like a fuel sock plugging problem.
Mine has been repaired twice for this. The plastic housing has little one-way rubber valves to hold gas in for the fuel pump suction. This concentrates any scale etc. around the fuel inlet sock until it plugs off completely.
I repaired it myself last time. The symptoms were exactly like yours - after a run or climb using a steady high amount of gas, the car would slow to a complete stop, with no 'check engine light' or ECU code stored!
I found if I shook the car from side to side, sloshing fuel around the tank, the car would go another 5 kilometers....that told me the sock was plugging with loose material. The fuel pump is under the left rear seat, I took out the assembly and pulled out the pump and its sock, cleaned it and it was good as new.
Good luck, hope this helps.
