Would this be my coils?
I went to the dyno today. Total of 4 runs. Each time the car would hit 7500rpm the tach on the dyno machine would go crazy. My max dyno was 170whp @ 7600rpm.
The dyno reads fine, but peaks at 170whp at 7600rpm. After that the dyno lines go crazy, very wavy. I would scan in the dyno sheet, but I have no scanner. The graph basically just plummets after 7600rpm with one peak hit back to 170whp during all the very tight peaks and valleys in it.
I don't think it's the dyno as I was the only car that had a problem, and there was an STi there earlier revving to 8000rpm so I'm sure 7600rpm was not too high for it.
I'm thinking it's my coils. The car has been hard to start lately and the top end does seem to lack a bit.
Temp. was 92* outside if that matters.

is your car an auto?
there is a dyno thread somewhere around here - look it up. The dyno always shows break up at about 7500rpm+. That being said part of your problem could be coils. 170 seems low to me. My car ran 208 with only a few more mods than you, and fresh coils.
