Yet another post about P0410/ Air pump
Goal: Get new brushes for the Air Pump for a DIY fix.
So my air pump went south a couple of years ago with the usual symptoms leading up to it. I then got myself a ScanGauge II to delete the P0410 CEL, and haven't really worried about it since.
Now that I'm selling the car though, it'd be nice to get rid of that CEL permanently, so I'm looking at fixing the pump myself rather than bying an overpriced new one. I've tried taking the pump out and sealing the inlet pipe with the bolt on plate that's mentioned in other threads, but the CEL keeps coming back at every cold start. I've also managed to find som new bearings for the pump, and that worked for about one day. The pump spins freely, but for some reason it doesn't work while it's in the car (yes, the fuses and all that have been checked).
What I'm thinking is that the brushes inside the pump are shot, so I'm hoping you guys could please help me find replacements. Preferably from some place that ships outside North America.
Details: 04-model, HP, Greddy exaust, just over 60,000miles, no warranty

Are you sure it is definitely the air pump that has failed?
Yes you have checked the fuses but have you checked the air pump relay and the connections to the pump for correct voltage?

-I put in a brand new air pump, but that didn't work either. CEL still came on etc.
-I did not check the things @hweebe suggests. Apparently I should have.
-I got a handy friend to refurbish the stock air pump, and he got it working smoothly on his work bench (not tested in the car itself). I still have it lying around and will sell it cheap if anyone's interested.
-I also have a set of Eibach springs left for sale real cheap (sorry for going off topic)
