05 Auto RX-8 Fully converted auto to stick Runs in Limp Mode

Hey wassup yall!!! I recently had my buddies convert my rx-8 fully into a six speed :D...But since I converted it the car runs in "limp mode" Meaning it wont let me run the car at full throttle. We ran a obd2 reader and the codes showed transmission shift 1and 2....We changed everything except the wiring harness inside the dash and the key and comp.....I have another ecu with the original ecu for that key we changed it out but tha car just cranks over but wont start. Anybody out there can help my rx-8 stop ruinning at "limp mode" and start running fully....Oh yeah when I first start it up it will drive fine until after 5 seconds the car dumbds itself down Please can anyone HELP!!>????

Your best bet is to PM RotaryRessurection. He is the only one I know of that has completed this swap and has a fully functioning car.

Did you read the below thread? Why you did this and still retain the 4-port engine is beyond me. But the thing you need to do first is get ECU from the MT car into yours. If you can get the keys for it also also you might not need a dealer.
