05 RX8 won't start, starter not clicking (FIXED)
Hey guys, my 05 RX8 was running great the other day, then the next day I wouldn't start. When I turn the key, there is no click from the starter.
I replaced the OEM starter with a new aftermarket one and it had been running fine since about March. I reinstalled the old OEM starter to see if it might have been the new one failing, and still got the same results. I have checked and replaced my starter relay and all the fuses look good.
I have seen some people saying that it could be an issue with the security system, but it seems to be working fine as well.
I can't seem to think of any other issues and need some help getting my car running again. Thanks!

For future reference; what you described is “engine is not cranking or turning over”.
No engine is ever going to start without cranking/turning over. “Not starting” generally means the engine is cranking over, but won’t fire off and begin running, i.e starting.
Again, it can be cranking/turning over without starting, but it will never have any chance of attempting to start without cranking or turning over. Hope that makes sense.
in order for people to help you via the internet communicating the proper terms is important, but glad you figured it out on your own.
