Hey guys, my 05 RX8 was running great the other day, then the next day I wouldn't start. When I turn the key, there is no click from the starter.

I​ replaced the OEM starter with a new aftermarket one and it had been running fine since about March. I reinstalled the old OEM starter to see if it might have been the new one failing, and still got the same results. I have checked and replaced my starter relay and all the fuses look good.

I have seen some people saying that it could be an issue with the security system, but it seems to be working fine as well.

I can't seem to think of any other issues and need some help getting my car running again. Thanks!

For future reference; what you described is “engine is not cranking or turning over”.

No engine is ever going to start without cranking/turning over. “Not starting” generally means the engine is cranking over, but won’t fire off and begin running, i.e starting.

Again, it can be cranking/turning over without starting, but it will never have any chance of attempting to start without cranking or turning over. Hope that makes sense.
