2004 key fob problem fixed

If your key fob stopped worked and u put a new battery in it (2025) and it still doesn't work well on the part where u put the battery in theres a little B on top and a little B on the bottom if u press on both of them lightly for a couple seconds then the key fob should start to work if it doesn't then your key fob will need to be replaced Ive been through 4 key fobs and its not fun just wanted to share how i fixed mine so you guys don't have to buy new fobs

I'm not really sure what the OP is referring to here. The B+ and B- on my fob are simply solder pads..nothing to press there. But they do provide a convenient point to measure the volts on the actual printed circuit board and I found that the battery was not making a good enough connection as the metal contact springs had lost tension. I moved them all back out a little to give them a biut more spring and Hey Presto ...fob started working OK.

Which in the UK would have set me back £200 to get replaced and re-programmed.
