yeah unfortunately it seems that way. And thanks for bashing on me everyone. I just wanted a simple answer. I am not hating on any of you, just saying that a yes or no couldve prevented all this.

Im sympathetic when it comes to crashing but, wtf, you can't sue someone just because it was your fault when you crashed.
Either way, too late to make a lawsuit, good luck on insurance.

What mawd bug?

Oddly enough, I was going in a straight line and accelerating (my first month with a stick by the way). I shifted badly at the same time I hit a patch of ice, my rear tires slipped abit, so I paniced and shifted to neutral. Then I slammed on the breaks and my car went into a curb with both wheels then stalled after impact..
Since then I haven't driven without TCS in sketchy conditions (unless just kicking it out around a corner for the fun of it).
So, I'd say straight on with the side of the car.... Hehe

Its pretty simple. If you go over a certain G loading, the airbags deploy. Now I'm not sure what frequency the sensors cycle at, but I would guess that it is fast enough to catch a spike (you hitting the curb). They have to check at a small enough interval to detect a spike, then send the signal to set off the bags.
Its very certain that the g-force just was not enough to trigger the airbags. You don't want those things to go off if you don't need them to. Lots of people were hurt by the early airbags that their systems didn't cycle fast enough or deployed to hard for a small impact.
In your other threads you've gotten as much info as can be given here. We were not there, we haven't seen pictures, and we can't see what g-loading the sensors were under.
Does anyone know if the ECU (or another system) records a period of time (like flash data)? Maybe that airbag sensor data can be recalled. Most ECU's record 60 seconds (or a period of time) of engine data before a code, just wondering if anyone knows if it is the same with the airbag sensors. If that data can be recalled, maybe it can be seen if there really was a problem with the airbag system on his car.
So basically, we can't tell you anything, and from the looks of it, you won't accept an answer any less than "they should have deployed, sue Mazda".

I had an 02 saturn L200 and hit a deer head on, then went into a ditch and rolled the car. Car was totaled. This was on the highway going 70MPH. No air bags whatsoever. Nobody was hurt. Who cares.
Enough about the airbags not deploying. It won't always happen.
p.s. OP, you suck at driving...hope this is lesson learned.

airbags can sense lots of different things. Your car did not rollover and nothing above the bottom of the door was pushed towards you, that why no side airbags were deployed.
I can most likely send you a very technical article describing the conditions needed to deploy each individual airbag.
The car can sense everything it knows when your car is barely tipping to the side it knows everything, the sensors are basically accelerometers they know how each part of the car is moving.
You said that the rocker panel was damaged, consider all the ways you could damage a rocker, jumping a curb, hit a large stick in the road, hit a rock, hit a parking lot cement bar thing etc in 99% of the cases the airbags going off would be dangerous so a rocker hit won't set off the airbags (97-ish mx6's had a fault where an undercarriage impact would trigger the airbags, there was a recall because of it, the undercarriage is constantly being impacted and therefore isnt used as a basis for airbag deployment)
The A pillar has no sensor, it doesnt matter if the airbag is in it or not, you can hit the airbag itself all you want it wont go off it needs specific conditions to be met in the SAS module.
Your impact is confusing, sliding into a curb, snapping both wheels then going airborne and landing on the wheels. If i was to draw out a paint picture you would see while geometrically that makes no sense. Hitting a curb straight on with the side would result it in a pivot point causing a full rollover not you popping up in the air and magically going horizontally over the curb.
Also as for the wheels snapping and hitting the suspension not setting off the airbags....ever hit a pothole and bend a wheel? It happens quite often and if the airbags deployed for every big pothole it would be expensive and fairly dangerous for the driver thats why airbags did go for that either.
As for your fender being damaged, i cant even figure out how that happened considering your magical story of airborne curb hitting the only way that makes sense would be if it crushed upwards due to suspension bottoming out after being airborne.
Also about your synchro complaint in the trans...your synchros didn't shatter, you GROUND THE TEETH OFF, thats not a defect thats due to aggressive driving, shifting improperly doesnt always mean you'll miss the gear your timing can be a few tenths of a second off or you may get on the gas too early and it'll slowly shave down the teeth of the synchro.
Also do you hold the shifter while driving when the car is in gear? that will bend the forks of any car over time causing sloppy synchro engagement causing the teeth to grind down even more.
You obviously don't have an understanding of how everything you do affects the car, just like everyone else that just throws lawsuits around.
