5500rpm bogging?

Ok so the last two days I have noticed as the car barely warms up that when I go to accelerate in at 5500rpms the car hesitates than goes feels like a fuel cut almost but still will keep climbing in rpms. After about 10mins of driving at full temp it drives like normal. I'm going to assume that this is my engine telling me to let it warm up longer even after it gets to full temp? Coils are to be changed soon but they are the same ones that were changed at 30k car now has about 60k on it.

i usually shift at around 3500 when its cold, i know if you try to redline while its cold itll stall on you...i think the purpose of this is because theres no oil being thrown in there until it reaches a certain temp

I'm not stupid I know you shouldn't red line cold but I'd say its a couple ticks if not exactly in the middle of the temp gage when this is done.

I had the same problem years ago and it was the coils and plugs.

Isn't there a fuel cutoff on the RX8 for when the engine isn't warmed up? You shouldn't be shifting above 3k rpm until the engine is fully warmed up any way. You are most likely causing unnecessary damage to your engine for not waiting the extra 5-10 minutes. It's not the engine temp your worried about, its the oil temp. Once the engine temp gauge gets just about to half way, you should be waiting an extra 5 - 10 minutes before going above 3k rpm. I baby the car until it's fully warmed up and then it's game time.

Ok were would this oil gage be since the stock one is a dummy gage lol. Ok I just wanted to make sure it was I guess normal and I don't shift over 3k normally when cold but usually by the time I get to the interstate the car is fully warmed up. Thanks for all your help.Lesson wait longer
