Flooding is a problem. Take it back to your dealer and get them to fix as much as they can. The other thing you can do is when you're only doing short trips (when the engine hasn't warmed up) is stomp on the accelerator to rev it up to 4000rpm, let it go back to idle and turn it off to blast out the carbon deposits.
Do a search on flooding, see what others have done. I've only had the problem once myself and that was fixed up with an ECU flash and starter motor upgrade.

Do a search on flooding and you'll find a thousand posts about it.
If you read your owner's manual it will tell you not to move the car short trips and shut it off as it is likely to cause the engine to flood.
The car will not "do it again 15 times more this winter" unless you continue turning the car off before it has warmed up. I have 60,000 miles on my 8 so far, and I have not flooded it once.
Stomping on the accelerator to 4,000 for a couple of seconds and dropping back to idle can protect you somewhat, but it is best to just avoid short trips with the car and make sure that it is warm before shutting off.
The 4,000 RPM thing does not blow carbon out of the housings; it blows unburnt fuel out of the housihgs, which if left to sit will foul the plugs and potentially wash the housing walls preventing the seals from making a seal and prevent compression.

if you flood and your stuck in a random place that you dont want to get towed. I like taking a hose from my glovebox that i carry with me just incase and hook it up to the washer fluid bottle. and the other to the vaccum nipple on the side of the housing. give it about 2 seconds of squirts and try to start. usually its a really rough idle, but after it warms up drive it hard and it will usually come out of it.
i wouldnt reccomend doing this alot but ive had my car stuck in my garage at my parents house where i didnt want a random truck driver coming and towing it.
it does work ive tried it 3 times in 2 years and it works perfectly.

Worked for me!
Thanks for the information of feeding the washer fluid into the intake. I ran the hose directly attached to the windshield washer output and into the intake of the engine. Gave it two squirts and removed this connection and reinstalled the nipple. I was fearful that I would damage the car, however it worked great. It did sputter and smoked like crazy. My car is an 04 with less than thirty thousand miles and still under full warranty; it is just a pain in the rear to schedule a tow and repairs. I did it already the first time and they applied all the updates (starter, battery, flash, etc...). I made the same mistake. Moved the car a short distance and let it sit for a week. I thought the updates would correct that. Live and learn. May I never do that again.
