85k miles, 2005 MY compression check failed
Well ****. I haven't had anything major go wrong with this car until now. It's currently at the dealer apparently getting a "Zoom Engine Clean" and getting rechecked.
If it fails again, apparently I'll be given a new engine.
Don't know what to think here. What exactly is the "Zoom Cleaning" and how would it have an effect on the compression? I know it's apparently used to clean out excess carbon, but I haven't exactly babied the car, nor have I beat on it either. An oil change has never been missed, and all the services have been done as per the manual.
Any thoughts or insight? Maybe some good karma?

Roket, you really spent over $1000.00 to have your ignition replaced ? This was at a dealer ? Try hitting up other members in NJ ( not know it all wannabe's,someone with experience ) I'm sure they would be more than up for it to help you out.

The only time I spent that kind of money was when I flooded the motor and the sparkplugs needed replacing (my fault). I went to the dealer fearing it was an ignition problem, and they ran the compression check as well. They told me it wasn't an ignition problem, so no money was spent there.
