ABS, brake, and traction control lights on
yes I searched. but the results I found are all about just cleaning some wiring connections to make it go away. I don't believe it to be wiring as it is only problematic under the outlined circumstance below.
2 times today: driving into work around a long right turn exit loop upon straightening my steering wheel the ABS, brake, and traction control lights came on in unison. the driving experience was no different from what I felt. still pulled over immediately, powered off the car, sat for a few minutes and restarted it. lights remained off.
then at lunch had to run errand to same side of town and upon taking same long right looping exit and straightening my steering wheel the 3 lights came back on. making left and right turns at streets and such they do not come on at all. was strictly with the 2 instances of a long looping right turn. no highways around here loop to the left to try that. may give it a go with a few circles in an open parking lot after work to see if going left yields same result.
but my question to all of you, what is the likely cause? I checked brake fluid to see if that was low that perhaps making a long drawn out turn caused the fluid to go below a certain sensor (if one even exists). fluid is dead center between minimum and maximum. I read some posts on here that talk about cleaning some wiring connectors, but I would assume just making long drawn out turns and then just straightening the steering wheel would have a wiring connection issue to be the culprit. some here at work thought perhaps an ABS sensor and my wheel bearings may be shot in one or more wheels. I silenced the radio and rolled down all my windows to see if I heard any unusual sounds and didn't hear anything. going to stop by an Advanced Auto tonight to get a computer readout to see if it gives any useful information. just thought I would bounce it off all of you.
