ABS, TCS, E-brake lights all on at once! Any ideas?
So I was taking a tight 270 degree onramp at moderate to high speed (nothing dangerous or reckless mind you, I was well within the grip limits of the LM-22 snow tires which come off tomorrow ) and after merging into traffic noticed that my E-brake light was on. I checked the handle, jiggling it to make sure the stupid sensor wasn't merely confused, but it didn't go away. THEN i noticed that my TCS light was on solid and so was my ABS light. I had DSC/TCS fully active at the time and they never engaged nor did I use the brakes during the turn. Searching yielded no info on why this might happen.
Good news is they all went away after restarting the car. Apparently the lateral Gs confused her for some reason, any ideas why? Times like this I wish I had an OBDII reader or something to pick out possible codes.....
Other items of note, not guaranteed to be relevant:

Other items of note, not guaranteed to be relevant:
- Half a tank of gas
- Girlfriend riding shotgun, hands to herself
- Third gear midrange the whole time (until the end)
- No TPMS sensors installed on my winter wheels
- Stock brake system w/ properly filled fluid
- Completely stock engine/airflow/drivetrain
- Can you tell I'm bored yet?

Well, I can't tell you for certain, but when this happens in the Mazda6 it's generally from a loose ABS sensor, or the ECU lost contact for a moment for whatever reason. Restarting the car solves the 'problem' and it generally won't happen again, at least not for a very long time.

If it is due to a loose ABS sensor, then I would expect it to be repeatable. If the ECU is to blame that is a much tougher thing to test... thanks for the input. This isn't a "problem" I'm concerned about, just something I want to better understand. It seemed harmless enough but could get annoying very fast if it happens regularly.

FWIW, I've had it happen on my Mazda6 twice. And another local guy once. Both of my times as well as the other guy's, were immediately after clutch swaps, which involved removing and replacing the entire front suspension and brake system. My two occassions were about 1000 miles apart and it hasn't done it again for almost 5000 miles.
Also, while the lights were all on indicating a problem, I was able to test and determine that both ABS and TCS continued to function. So the lights coming on were more an inconvenience than anything.

That's your problem. The girlfriend was keeping her hands to herself.

sorry to bring up an old post. But the same thing just happend to me.
Twice at the same place and it was shortly after starting the engine from cold. was doing the same 270deg turn to the highway. it was a left turn(RHD car). Tried to replicate it when the engine was warmed up but doesnt seem to appear again. Was wondering if it could be somehow linked to the battery. The battery is coming close to 3yrs.
The warning lights of ABS, TCS and hand-brake disappeared once and shut down and restarted.
its a end 2003 build JDM car with 29000kms on the clock.

Same thing happened to me today.... Hit a small patch of ice (probably only ran across it w/ my left rear wheel), and I think it confused the system. DSC & ABS caution lights came on, plus the brake warning light. All came on and stayed on.
Braking seemed normal, and no apparent problem with drivability, so, I continued to work and when I got there, pulled all three related fuses and checked them - no problem there - all were good.
First drive cycle after that gave me a DSC solid and a flashing "DSC off" caution - but the ABS and brake light disappeared.
Second drive cycle, all lights were off and everything seems normal....
Maybe the control module interprets extreme wheel slip as a wheel speed sensor malfunction...?

My, that was helpful!
I've owned the car for three years, it's never done that before, and I know how the DSC system works. Its response yesterday was most definitely not normal.
I was not driving "radical" either. I made a turn around a truck and I was unable to see the ice patch. I was starting to accelerate when I hit the patch of ice - actually a small strip left by another vehicle's tire. When I said "extreme" wheel slip yesterday, it didn't mean I was doing donuts. This was a fraction of a second at most, and I backed off the accelerator as soon as I sensed the slippage. The DSC indicator flashed normally, as I would've expected, during the event. Five seconds later, I had the caution and warning lights I noted in my last post.
The good news is the system continues to be working fine today. Apparently there is at least one set of driving conditions that confuse the DSC, sending it into an "alarm" condition. As I noted yesterday, a couple drive cycles "fixed" it - I think...

I took my car into the dealership to have the rear light changed out under warranty and do the 48000km inspection last week.
I had a nightmare with them trying to charge me for BS stuff... but I wont get into this here.
I picked up the car yesterday morning.
Last night once.
This morning 3 times.
I had the exact same thing.
All 3 lights come on and stay on, until I restart the car while rolling.
Then doesnt come on for a while.
Last night it went out for the rest of the trip.
What does this mean ???

Got the flashing "DCS OFF" light again last weekend (none of the others though). This time it was caused by a low battery. Had been inflating my summer tires using a 12V pump. Later when I moved the car, she barely cranked - in fact, I'm surprised she started (original starter and battery).
Anyway, got the flashing DCS indicator, which again went away after a couple drive cycles.

So, the DSC light flashing could be caused by low battery??
I've just had all 3 lights come on... They go off on engine start, but after a bit of driving they'll come back on. Twice when the light is flashing, it feels like my car loses power..as if to stall. (That's why I was asking about the low battery)
The only other different symptom is, I have a strange noise coming from my rear passenger tire...
Any thoughts??

^Negative!
But, I believe I'm due for one... I had my alternator changed and my car still has a weak start. They mentioned getting a new battery was a good idea since it might have drained the h$%# out of the amps...

Of course, now my lights don't come on, so they can't detect the problem unless the lights are on... It was probably because (yesterday) I figured out the problem of the weird noise coming from my rear passenger tire. It was my tire expanding due to the heat. It was causing the tire to swell (thus giving me the noise and causing my car to wobble) I came to realize that could have set the sensors off. Maybe?
Since, I kept my appointment and went anyways.. I got the latest recall done (Lack of Engine Power) and found out I have a coolant leak! Wooo Hoo!
The lights haven't come back on (thank god)!! To be honest with you, I don't feel much difference after the recall....
Thank you again for those that responded...much appreciated..
