go to your dealership and get a FREE oem cat. Put your stock intake back on so the idiots at the dealership don't get confused and ask them to look at the cat. I had a very similar issue, you don't notice the power loss in lower gears but it's much more apparent in taller gears. What had happened in my cat is that all of the screens had become pushed together (heading towards the exit) and clogged up. I ended up needing new coils and plugs too. okay thanks man. well i think im gonna start going to a different dealership since ive had way too many problems to even count at Montrose mazda. but about the OEM cat i think that im gonna use this as an excuse to just get a high flow cat or just go catless. just debating on wether going catless is gonna be a pain when e-check time comes around

yeah i did decide to go catless but whats an ls2? and i will be looking for an AP as soon as i get the mid pipe put onto my car. im sure i can survive with a CEL but after i sell a few things around the house ill have some cash to put into these things.
