after painting calipers front drivers wheel will not spin off ground

Painted calipers, put masking tape over bleed screw as well as masked rotors. Painted the calipers.

When I was putting the tires/wheels back on, I noticed that the drivers side front wheel does not spin when I turn it, only the passengers side 1 does.

I drove it after and it was fine. When I push the brakes, I posted another thread about how once the pedal goes down half way, it gets much softer. Not sure if this is related.

I did not remove the caliper or any brake components to paint them. I just masked things off.

Ideas?

I doubt painting them had anything to do with it. It could be a sticking caliper in need of a rebuild but that would surely make noise. Possibly a bad wheel bearing. That is easy to figure out.

Well thats good at least. im putting it in the garage tonight to get it rdy for the snowstorm tomorrow. I'll try jacking it up once more quickly and seeing if maybe there was just some paint sticking between somewhere

I doubt it. try jacking the car up with the wheels off and testing the brakes.

Alright, I'll inspect them this weekend. Until then, I mean i do have brakes. I have jumped on them and the car stops fine, so I hope it was just some fluke... but we'll see.

Could have been, sometimes with age the pins get corroded and things seize up a bit. But if so that means you need to have the calipers rebuilt anyway. The rebuild kit only cost like $15.00 for both fronts.
