alarm system won't shut off

Today i was in the parking lot outside of where I work. About to walk inside, I shut my car off. For no reason whatsoever, the alarm system turned on.

There is no way of shutting it off. The only way to turn it off completely is to disconnect the main battery. But then I can't drive. I can't take out the hazard light fuse either because then my turn signal lights wont work. Can someone help me with this?

This happened to me when my driver side door-stiker-lock broke and caused the door to be stuck. While I was tinkering inside the door panels, there were a series of wires that connects the door actuator, switches, and window motor. The door was electronically locked when I disconnected those wires. Just when I manually opened the lock(although, most of the electrical part were disconnected, the alarm system's still enabled) and opened the door, the alarm went off just as it would if someone slimjim'ed the door lock. I could only disable the horn by removing the fuse, the flashing warning lights turned off after five minutes and was still able to drive the car that way until I figured out that I needed to connect the wire to unlock it electronically disabling the alarm. Remove the horn fuse and connect the cable to the battery, you'll at least be able to drive the car without the horn to a shop and have it looked at.

Actually, It rained the night before. Started up again when i was taking the horn fuse out. And yeah, I noticed the hazards went off eventually... but as soon as i opened the door to get out, the started right back up.

I guess I'll just take it to the shop in morning. Was hoping there was a super easy way to fix this, I dont wanna drop a lot of money on this

Does your lock/unlock buttons, both on the door and your keyless, work? And, do you physically hear the actuators working when you do it?

They work on my door, but the batteries in both my keyless' are dead. The actuators are working

Did you replace the batteries for your remote yet? Update us on the outcome.

UPDATE: The alarm system turned off! I drove to my nearest Autozone to see if I could find some people to figure the situation out. We were flipping the locks back and forth, turned my car off and on a couple times. Eventually it just stopped. Crazy, because I was doing the same stuff yesterday and it made no difference at all. So I don't even know what I really did to fix it.

I bought some replacement batteries for my keyless entry system, but they still didn't work. One of the people at Autozone said I need to have them reconfigured, if they've been out of battery for a long time. So I'm taking them in on Wednesday to get them fixed. Hopefully those will help in shutting the system off if it ever happens again.

All in all, I'm glad it was something dumb and easy to fix like this. I didn't want to take my car in and pay $200 for the mechanics to flip a switch. Does anyone know how much it costs to reconfigure the keyless entry system, though?

Likewise, my keyless remote ran out of battery; with the new battery, it did not work the same way before which lead me to buy the switch blade. Here's the DIY to Code Your Own Key.

Turn off Alarm

You can disarm the security system by unlocking the trunk or a door with the key.
