annoying vibrations

04. Original owner 61,000 miles. was in a small wreck in 04 but front was rebuilt. Have had vibration issues ever since. Motor tested out fine. Latelyit has gotten worse. When I turn on the A/C, the vibrations can be pretty embarassing, feels like vibration is coming from the passenger side more. After turning off A/C, it still vibrates more than normal. Come back to it later in day and not too bad until turning A/C back on. Could any of this be caused from the motor mounts???

Sounds like your passenger side engine mount leaked out. Pretty common problem on 04s since the exhaust headers tends to melt the rubber on the engine mount.

Either 1) fill your old mount with urethane yourself https://www.rx8club.com/do-yourself-...ethane-212403/

2) Buy a oem replacement but also get the passenger side mount bracket, about $50 used on ebay now. Mazda released this sometime later to remedy the problem, it acts as a heat shield, otherwise your mount will just melt again.

3) Go aftermarket and get the RX8Performance urethane mount. I installed a set myself last week. https://www.rx8club.com/do-yourself-...mounts-231520/
