Any kind of idea?

Well guys, this is my first post. I am much concerned since couple of days as I am facing a kind of problem with my car. Actually when I hit the brake I feel sudden jerk over the steering wheel. I am not technically sound about the car, so looking for your ideas? please.

Is the jerk the wheel trying to turn one way or another? Sudden and sharp, or just pulling to one side? Do you get any warning lights when this happens?

Possibilites are something going wrong with the power steering (it's electrical, and the connector plug has a certain reputation) or one of the front brakes.

If you mean the car jerks and you feel it through the steering wheel, but it's not pulling, look for something wrong with the front brakes, or possibly a broken suspension part.

PS - If one of the moderators is restless, you may find this thread moved to "Troubleshooting." And you may get a reply or two scolding you for not having a descriptive enough subject. Don't let either put you off. The more detail you can provide the better the odds of someone here helping figure it out.

Take your car to a shop, and have them look at it if you don't have enough time to do so yourself. Brake issues are too important to put off.

I don't think you could fix this yourself, just take it to a certified mechanic.

Okay, perhaps you guys are right I should take the car to the mechanic because yesterday I tried a lot to find the problem but found nothing.

Yeah, Mr. Ken when there is a jerk it just pulls the car left side with vibration over the steering wheel.
thanks guys for your quick response.
