Zoom was helpfull, it was cleoent that i was talking about.
Yes i did do something wrong, and that is taking my car to this particular dealer.Because whatever i did that they say is causing the sensor to malfunction did not start to malfunction until i actually took it to these guys,a long time afterwards.Funny, but no this has nothing to do with the aftermarket alarm/audio system problem that you mustve searched to come up with, but im sure they would try to blame it on that as well if they could...some funny quotes that i got from the manager about that episode include "aftermarket alarms are meaningless, the stock alarm is good enough as it is", "you shouldve got the bose system" instead of adding an after market audio system.
Stew: i already got all the help i needed from Zoom.
snap-on: yes its a tough crowd but nothing i havent seen before.
if i need any more i will go into more details.thank you.

Having the same problem
I bought a used 8 last month with 40k on the clock. My headlight leveling light has been on and off intermittently from when I bought the car, having be on steady for the past week. If somebody has some useful advice it would be less trouble than taking my car in to the dealer.

My light on my '04 was on and off for a while before coming on permanently.
The dealer fixed it afer two tries. After the first attempt the light did not go off again.
The fix was replacement of the rear sensor module. (under warranty)
The system has been fine ever since.

Wow... I'm also in the process of receiving new sensors. My rear sensor was completely corroded and the front would intermittently trip on and off.
The dealer had to order the sensors and I'm waiting for them to receive it. Thank goodness I still have the warranty (ends Dec 07')
Anyone with an RX8 (with auto leveling headlights) that was built before November 15th, 2006 should print out this TSB and have the dealer check it out before your warranty expires.
