Back again . . . More issues!!
Hey guys, posted up before about having problems with my neighbours RX8.
List to date so far . . .
1. All new plugs
2. New coils
3. New leads
The car had been refusing to start, so replaced all the above and went out yesterday to tow start it! Huzaaa, it was running and sounding as sweet as ever, full power, smooth idle the lot!
It had a problem before that once it was hot, if you turned it off, it wont start again. This is continuing.
We started it by tow as it had flooded and battery was dead, left it running to warm up for 15 mins, took it for a motorway blast to clear the cobwebs, got it back to the house. Turned it off, on again and it wont start.
It almost sounded like it wasn't getting fuel when we turned it over again.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! Fed up of this car being broken haha!

While this should have absolutely nothing to do with the the car being warmed up or cold, just to cover bases you might want to be sure the starter / connections are not the underlying issue.

Could be any of the above, but unfortunately, I'd bet it's compression related. The others can cost nothing to check. If it is compression, check the DIY section on how to clean the engine using SeaFoam or Zoom Zoom Engine Cleaner.

Another thought, unlikely though, is that the ECU could use a reset. That is easy. Turn on the key and press the brake pedal 20 times real fast. I think the oil pressure gague will move on some models to let you know it worked. Another thing would be to let it idle awhile after it gets running.
I did not see a MAF clean either. You could try that. There is a link in the $100 thread in my signature.

Its not compression, car is running perfect and at full power. Would surely be a power issue if it was that.
Leads and coils etc are all connected perfectly. Done the ECU reset as well. Battery is also good and the connections are fine, could do with a wee wire brush which i'll crack on with as well.
Will go and look at the starter problem and see how it goes!!
