Bad engine casting?

SO, I have been chasing an oil leak for a while now, and after much searching, it seems that I have found it.

At first I thought it was leaking out of the front cover vent (with the oil filler and such) because it was dripping down right by where the front iron and front rotor housing meet, down beside the spark plugs.

I pulled this out verified that it was all ok, then started the car and watched for the leak.

It looks like the leak is coming out from the iron itself, but its hard to tell whether its coming out from the seam between the rotor housing, or the actual iron, as its almost at the top of the engine.

The reason I think this, is because the top "Mazda 13B" logo is totally clean, so its leaking from below that point, and dripping down the side of the oil pan.

The leak has gotten progressively worse, so I am thinking that either its porosity in a bad iron casting, or something else.

Maybe its time to pay mazda a visit for a Reman engine?? Engine has 107,000 KM on it

I need some input here....after looking and looking, I cant see any other possible spot its leaking from.

thanks.

Bryan

Other users experienced oil leaks, i'd say to simply go for a new engine
