big problem (can't reach redline)

ok basicly i bought some redex fuel additive i put 2 full tanks worth of the stuff whole bottle in to just half a tank of fuel. now i hope these side effects im gettig is from the redex and will go away but please tell me if sounds like something else as real worried atm basicly whe the car gets to 6k it holds a sec then shoots off not sure if thts the valves opening as herd about that before. also my car is uk model so 7.5k is redline starting limiter at 8.5 i used to be able to hit 8.5 now gets to nearly 8 and holds there all groggy sounding. then as i was crusein along at say 65 foot of throttle car stalled had to bump while moveing still . does this sound like effects of too much additive an it not burning at proper rate and possibly gunkiing up?

Eventually, i never used any aftermarket additives on my gas. Gasoline's these days usually have additives in it already. For example, i fill-up my gas tank with Chevron, and it has Techron already added to it. That is an additive added to it, and my car never had problems with knocks.

Without googling do you even know what Techron is? It's like Shell saying their gasoline is Nitrogen enriched. The damn air is nitrogen enriched.

Be careful of clever marketing ploys.

In Shell's case, Nitrogen enriched has to do with nitrogen compounds found in the detergents added to gasoline. I'm a computer tech working at a BP refinery. I've worked with (and questioned) many from the people that do the blending to PHD researchers to VP's about what goes on, for my own curiosity.

DJSensation, I would look to the basics first. Check the air filter, spark plugs & ignition coils first.

I would bet that you now have additive related deposits on your spark plugs.
I would recommend that you remove the spark plugs, inspect their current condition, and replace them to see if that clears up your issues.

BC.

Can't you just post the video in the other thread you opened? The one that describes the very same problem...

bse is right... DJ, this is your third or fourth thread regarding the exact same issue. Not to mention your first thread was moved to the Troubleshooting forum, and then you post two more in this forum.

Instead of creating new threads for every thought you have on the subject, just stick to the original thread you made.

Not to mention that your YouTube link doesn't work... The correct link is

And did you ever try adding fuel to your two bottles of Redex (that some advised you not to use in the first place, let alone completely ignore the directions and use FOUR TIMES the amount that your are supposed to), like was advised in your first thread?

Not trying to be mean, but I honestly don't even know what you're trying to ask due to the incoherent sentence structure and lack of punctuation.
