Brake/Clutch Fluid Reservoir
So I jacked up the plastic notches on the brake fluid reservoir where the cap attaches the last time I bled, using a motive power bleeder that didnt fit quite right. Anyway, im getting a little bit of leakage now from the cap not sealing all the way tight and I am planning on replacing the reservoir.
From what I understand its pretty straight forward and I should not have to remove the brake master cylinder and bench bleed. I have a bleeder screw right off the front of the master and was plannng to do a quick purge there in case I introduce any air bubbles swapping in the new reservoir.
My question is since the clutch master also feeds off this same reservoir should I be able to swap it without then having to bleed the clutch lines as well? My thoughts were I should be able to keep that rubber hose for the clutch master cylinder vertical with as much fluid left in the line as possible before reattaching it to the new fluid reservoir. I would then just tap out the remaining air bubbles since its at a high point.
Anyone see any issues with this? I would like to avoid the pita clutch bleeding if at all possible.

the Ports are on the LHS or driver side. my stock BMC has the ports under the cylinder OEM part number is FE06-43-40ZR-0A found at this website and confirmed with mazda https://www.mazdapartshq.com/v-2005-...draulic-system

Hey let me know where you find your replacement for your master cylinder. i have been looking for the last 3 weeks for a new master brake cylinder and i cannot find any one who sells them. even went to Tracy, Ca Mazda and they told me they dont carry them any more. i have a 2005 mazda rx8 with the Shinka Package Manual 6 sp with DSC. i ordered one of those stupid ones off Ebay or Amazon or what ever saying it would match but it does not.
the Ports are on the LHS or driver side. my stock BMC has the ports under the cylinder OEM part number is FE06-43-40ZR-0A found at this website and confirmed with mazda https://www.mazdapartshq.com/v-2005-...draulic-system

Found the exact BMC for builds prior to 06/05 here and seems to still be in stock...https://www.atlantamazdaparts.com/p/...64340ZR0A.html

Dude Thanks so Much man i ordered like 3 different ones all stating they would fit my year and ******* non are for my car they are all post 06/2005.
the difference between the cylinders is where the lines hook up. my lines connect below the center shaft where yours connects on the side.
