Hey first post!! whoa!! Haha

Just got an 04 RX8 GT Yesterday, it has 34k miles on it, and I hope my problem isnt that big of a problem and maybe requires just a little quick fix.

But my problem requires help with the stock radio unit, I do not have navigation, and my load button to load the 6 disc cd changer does not work. I hold it in for atleast 5 seconds and I do not see a "load" on the display, can you guys help??

Most 04's did not come with a 6CD changer. GT's did not have them. do a search on ebay. There is a guy who has sold several to club members.

 

Oh I see, I figured since it had a load button, and disc tray buttons, it was a changer. Ok will do, thanks for the help

 

Does it have a slot for a CD?

Many radios also have a "Sat" button, but if there's no Sirius receiver connected .....

 

Mine's a 04 with changer. DOn't hold the button down, just press it once and see. If it has the tray numbers then it should be a changer. Either that or there's already CDs in the trays. Hold down the eject button until you hear a beep then it'll automatically eject all the CDs in there.

Ya man, I dont think mine is, I had an 06 mazda3 and it said "6 disc changer" on it, my rx8 doesn't.

 

Then that confirms its not a 6 CD changer.

It only came with navagation and sunroof in 04
