Car shuts off when making hard left or right turn
This started about 6 weeks ago, I made a hard right into a parking space and the car started to lose power and all the lights went off in the instrument cluster and on the radio as soon as I pulled in and straightened the wheel they came back on and everything was fine (the traction control light and ABS light were lit though). When I came back to start the car it was fine. Took it into the dealer and they said they tested the battery and it was bad. Haven't replaced the battery yet because it didn't do it again but a week ago it did the same thing only while I was driving. I made a left onto a side street and same thing lights off and as car powered down but as soon as I straightened the wheel it was fine. I ordered a new battery but it hasn't come in yet. Itdoesn't sound like the battery is the problem but hopefully it will help because it just happened again today while in line at a drivethru and pulling into a parking space. Anyone else have this issue?

It's the battery cables. The clamps and/or posts have corroded to the point that there is trouble getting the proper current flowing between them, and power steering draws alot of electrical power, exceeding the limitations of what it can handle.
Disconnect the negative cable, then the positive cable, clean the posts and clamps thoroughly (Coke-a-cola or a baking soda solution works well). Reconnect the positive then the negative, making sure that they seat well as you tighten them down (wiggle as you slowly tighten to find a sweet spot of anchoring).
Typically negative clamp/post is where the problem is, but it can be positive as well.
