Car Won't Start After Frost??

I had been driving my car as normal since last Thursday when I parked it up and went on holidays with family for the Christmas. When I came home last night I went to start the car and nothing. A very weak sounding crank but no start up. The car has been sitting at my house for the past 4 days without being started. It has also been below freezing every night and I'm wondering if this is the problem? Battery is at full charge and plugs and coils are in good condition. Any ideas?

How do you know if the battery is charged? Did you measure it with a meter?
If so, what was the reading?

Also, verify that the connections to the battery is clean and tight.

I got it checked and all he said was that it was fully charged. I took out the battery and brought it to this lad. then reconnected it and made sure all connections were good but still wouldn't start. Next step is to take out the plugs, check them, heat them with a flambee torch and see does that help. If not, I have a new set of plugs ready to go in.

When you attempt to start, do the interior lights dim?

Also, what year is your car and how many miles?
If its on '04 or '05, do you have the upgraded starter?
When was the last time you had the plugs and coils replaced?

The interior lights do dim when I try to start it. It's a 2004 and doesn't have the upgraded starter because it's much too expensive and I don't have the money to buy one. It's got 60,000 KM on the clock. Plugs, wires and coils were changed in July 2009.

If the lights are dimming, then its an issue with the battery or connection to it.
Jump start the car and once it starts, let it run for awhile or take it for a drive.

OK I got it started. It was just a matter of persevering with the cranking. Once it caught I held the revs at 3000 to get rid of excess fuel in the engine. While I was doing this it shook very badly but once it was all cleared it went back to normal. Then I just let it idle until it fully warmed up then took it for a drive.

Steve, it was flooded after I started this thread but before that I think it was just a damp enginand plugs because it hadn't been started since last Wednesday.

Thing is now though I have f**k all power and the revs are very high. This is annoying me now. Any ideas????

OK power issue is grand now. All power is back and the car is running as good as it ever did. I'm now using RE7C-L leading plugs as opposed to the RE8C-L I was using so that should give it a better start and it has.

Old Rotor - I would if I could find one. This is Ireland after all and stuff like that is very hard to come by. Also my car is a Jap import and I'm very touchy about buying parts for it in case they don't work or are wrong. I'm very happy with the way it's starting at the moment so I'll only look into buying something like that at the moment. If it gets too bad I'll go ahead with it.

Thanks to everyone who has had an input and thanks for all the advice
