CEL and loss of power

CEL and loss of power
Ok...so I've been looking through other CEL threads, but I didn't see anything that matches both of my issues.
So yesterday, I'm driving along...my day is going great...got the windows down and hair flying all over the place...things are good!....Then about an hour after I got home, I left again...About 30 seconds into my drive, my CEL comes on, but there wasn't anything out of the ordinary that I could tell...So I checked the manual, and kept the RPMs low until I reached my destination...About an hour after that, I get back into my car, start it up, take off, and what happens?...My baby is driving like a damn crossfire...no power...So I went to get a free diagnostics test at Auto Zone (shame shame, but no choice), and I get back 2 codes:
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire condition detected
P0661 - Control solenoid valve circuit low input
I am at the dealership as I type (you know...because cool people take over the computers at the dealership)...I am hoping it is simply an issue of coils for the misfire...even though I checked them 2 months ago and they were fine...and the plugs are new...*sigh*...Idk...both of the codes don't belong to the same system...has anybody else received either of these codes out of nowhere with no prior symptoms?
Car details:
Year - 2004
Mileage - 105k
New spark plugs
Good coils (unless they can completely go to s*** in 2 months)
New cat
Any ideas?...I could use some while I'm waiting.

I actually just recently started a thread on this.
I have the same code p0661 without the misfire code. My symptoms are a loss of power from about 3000 rpm until about 6300 rpm. I've tested the ssv actuator and solenoid and both checked out. I cleaned the connector and tested for 12v. Also ok. The power loss your feeling is probably the ssv not opening up. It is very noticeable because once you hit 6000 rpm it's like a little turbo kicks in. As for the misfire check to see that your wires are on everything tight. I've actually had a wire come off twice since I've had the car with two different sets of wires.
If these are your symptoms pm me being we have the same year model and what are your mods
